Early Access for Dimraeth unlocked 15 September 2026 at 18:00 CEST after a public demo that ran 2 April to 15 July 2026. The demo was Steam app 2405840 and closed after about 60,000 players because the live build had diverged. Launch news said the game neared 500K Steam wishlists. The Windows store build lists USD 21.99, with a 10 percent intro at 19.79 through 22 September, and Mudtek says the price will rise during Early Access and again at full release. This page compares those three dated layers: demo, live EA, and the 18-24 month 1.0 target with no fixed leave-EA date.

  1. Steam app 2405840. About 60,000 players. Original FAQ demo promise was two races, two classes, and 8-player co-op. Closed because Early Access had moved on.

  2. Three races, three classes, Act 1 in three chapters, level cap 25, USD 21.99 list / 19.79 intro through 22 September.

  3. Steam EA FAQ: no fixed leave-EA date. More biomes, races, classes, bosses, and story. Price rises again at 1.0.

Why the public demo closed

The official FAQ once promised a 2026 Steam demo with two races, two classes, and eight-player co-op. That demo shipped 2 April 2026 as app 2405840 and shut 15 July after roughly 60,000 players. Mudtek's news post said the live Early Access build had diverged enough that keeping the demo around would teach the wrong systems. Treat any named 46-spell table, two-race kit, or wiki.gg page still labelled Demo as a historical snapshot, not the 15 September roster.

Progression promises also moved. Character creation now includes race, class, persona, and appearance. Attribute levels cost XP with pairing-specific prices. The demo-era FAQ still sitting on dimraeth.com talks about aiming for Early Access in 2026 and lists English plus Simplified Chinese; the store already dates the launch and lists eight languages. Read the store and the September news post first, then the FAQ for co-op rules that did not change.

What the 15 September build contains

The launch post ships Elf, Minotaur, and Human with Shadow, Mage, and Brawler. Steam about copy still sells eight races and six classes for 48 archetypes; that sentence is the 1.0 target, not the live 3x3. Act 1 is three chapters. The starter geography is Lost Caverns through Earlwood Village into Wildwood Forest, plus Goblin Caves as a new region. Level cap 25, marked by Seasoned Veteran. Nine unique pets. Repeatable tiered deeds. Sanctum crafting, farms, and a forge.

Platforms stay Windows-only in the Steam platforms object; Mac and Linux are false. Full controller support lists DualShock and DualSense. Steam Cloud, Stats, and Family Sharing are on. Languages: English, Portuguese-Brazil, Simplified Chinese, German, Russian, Spanish-Latin America, Korean, and Japanese. Russian storefront name is Димрейт, Japanese ディムレイス, Korean 딤레이스, Simplified Chinese 迪姆雷斯. Other listed storefronts keep Dimraeth.

Price, wishlists, and the 18-24 month window

List price is USD 21.99. The intro offer at 19.79 ends 22 September 2026. Steam's Early Access FAQ states the price will rise during Early Access and again at full release, so the current tag is not a forever price. Launch coverage cited nearly 500K wishlists. Mudtek will not publish a calendar day for leaving Early Access; the written window is roughly 18 to 24 months of quality work with more biomes, races, classes, bosses, and story.

Studio size is ten people, fully remote, self-published. Joseph is Founder and Technology Director, Phillip is Game Director (matching the character-creation news byline), vancris is Creative Director. Feedback is concentrated on Discord at discord.gg/dimraeth rather than a web forum. Trailer #1 on the Mudtek YouTube channel still points at the Steam product page and that Discord invite.

Demo layer, live layer, 1.0 layer

Archetypes, spells, and world pages keep a current layer and a historical layer. The current layer is the 15 September Early Access post plus the live Steam about copy. The historical layer is the closed demo and any wiki.gg table still labelled Demo. Upcoming layers (Fairy, five marketed races not in EA, 48 archetypes) stay tagged as 1.0 targets. Demo spell names stay on one versioned table instead of 46 separate URLs.

When Steam, the marketing FAQ, and a community table disagree, the order is: Steam appdetails and news for live claims, dimraeth.com FAQ for co-op and input rules that never updated, community tables only as labelled snapshots. The FAQ og:article:modified_time of 12 September 2025 is why several answers predate both the demo and the launch.

Price and window in one place

The intro price of 19.79 ends 22 September 2026, then the 21.99 list stands until Mudtek raises it again during Early Access and at 1.0. The 18-24 month window has no calendar exit day. Wishlists near 500K were a launch-news figure, not a live player count. Trailer #1 still points at the Steam product page for that purchase.

Read the demo dates (2 April to 15 July, app 2405840, about 60,000 players) only to know why named demo tables exist. Live play starts 15 September 2026 at 18:00 CEST with three races, three classes, Act 1, and level 25. Goblin Caves, Shadow, and Elf are part of that live layer, not the closed demo’s two-race promise.
